Tidal Wave Woes

Casualties look set to hit over 10k. However, with all these places affected, 10k is miniscule. I still hope it's as low as possible though.

The worst earthquake in recent history that I know of was theo ne in China about what? 30years ago? Richter scal 6.8 or something. 242K casualties.

I can just imagine the people on Patong Beach (Phuket) sunbathing when this happened.

Calamity Strikes

It is a sad day today. I thought I had heard wrongly when my friend announced during a photoshoot which I was at today, :"An Earthquake happened and Phuket has been wiped out".

Well, Phuket was NOT wiped out, but things are not looking any cherrier. An Earthquake of Richter scale 8.9 has been recorded off Sumatra and triggered Tsunami (ch-nah-mee, NOT soo-nah-mee as many news anchors would have you believe) waves.. well, I am sure you guys know the story, so it's pointless for me to go into details.

Interestingly, apparently Indonesia recorded the quake as 6.8 on the Richter Scal while US recorded it as 8.9. Hmm.. perhaps they read it upside down? >.<>

MC.............

Urgh. The past few weeks were a mix of suffering and enjoyment.

First off, I managed to get Dengue. Very bad. 39 degrees fever for 2-3 days. MC for 2 weeks! Worst of all I had to miss thep erformance that I had been yakking about for 6 months now >.< What a disappointment. Also I feel bad to have left the cast sort of in the lurch. sigh. oh well.

It was so bad that even the thought of Final Fantasy couldn't perk me up. In fact I felt nauseos thinking of it!! Dengue = BAD.

Anyway, since the Dengue MC ate into my leave, I'll have to reschedule them lol. Damn I feel like a bum. 2 weeks MC + 1 week leave consecutively! Thank goodness it's the end of the year when everyone else is clearing leave anyway.
